Birds of a Feather (60-90 minutes)
These informal meetings allow attendees with shared interests to discuss issues for which longer conversations are preferable.
This year, meetings will be hosted during lunch hour as roundtable discussions, seating 8 to 10 attendees per table. A topic may have multiple tables for larger meetings. Note that this session format includes more informal chats rather than pre-planned presentations/agendas.
-
Panel Discussion (45 minutes)
These dynamic sessions feature two to four presenters who share case studies on how their institutions have approached a common issue, or offer diverse viewpoints on a topic. One presenter acts as a moderator to facilitate and guide the flow of the conversation.
-
Standard Presentation (45 minutes)
These sessions give presenters an opportunity to discuss a project in detail. Typically, at least 10 to 15 minutes are allocated at the end of the presentation for Q&A with the audience.
-
Poster Session (20 minutes)
These sessions showcase the use of an emerging technology or innovative practice for teaching and learning, typically in the early stages of development. The standard poster setup includes a 30" wide x 40" tall foam board and standing easel.
This year, speaking about the poster is optional; There will be a timeframe in the conference program for presenters who want to speak about their poster with visiting attendees.
