Who can attend the UC Tech conference?
This event is open to UC-system faculty and staff members only.

Can students attend this year’s conference?
No, this year’s conference is not open to students.

Is virtual attendance available?
No, a virtual option is unavailable this year.

Is one-day or partial registration available?
No, this option is unavailable. Registration covers the entire three-day program.

Will sessions be recorded and shared after the conference?
No, sessions will not be recorded. However, with permission from our presenters, we plan to share slide decks after the conference.

What is included in my registration?
Your registration includes:

Wednesday Welcome Reception
Keynote Addresses from thought leaders in tech
Dozens of presentation and discussion sessions
Networking opportunities
Vendor showcase and raffle
Local games, activities, and entertainment
Food and Beverages:
Dietary restrictions should be noted in the registration form so we can accommodate your needs.
Wednesday: appetizers and cocktails
Thursday: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
Friday: breakfast and to-go lunch
Travel and accommodation are not included in the registration cost, and will need to be secured separately.

Can I register on a mobile device?
Yes, registration is supported on mobile devices.

Is group registration allowed? Can I register for others?
No, group registration is not allowed and each person must be registered individually. However, you can register on behalf of someone else. Please note that the registration form contains personal questions related to an individual's food preferences, special accommodation needs, and choice to attend the Wednesday reception and Thursday dinner.

Is there a waitlist if registration fills up?
If registration is sold out, we will add a link on the Registration page to sign up for the waitlist. When you join the waitlist and a spot opens up, you will receive an email with a special registration link and time limit to register. If you do not register before the given deadline in your registration invitation email, your spot will be given to the next person in line.

What is the registration cost for this year’s conference?
Registration will be waived for the following roles:
Primary presenter, poster presenter, or primary UC Tech Award winner (Note: If you are part of a group or panel, only one individual may use the complimentary code for free registration.)
UC Tech Ambassador
Volunteer
Registration for everyone else is $300 per person.

How do I get my discount code?
The primary presenter, primary UC Tech Award winner, and other eligible roles will receive a complimentary code via email.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
To be eligible for a full refund, you must cancel your registration before 11:59 p.m. on May 30, 2025. To start the cancellation process, please email uctech2025@ucr.edu and provide the following details: name, email used to register, reference number, and registration payment record.

Can I get an invoice/receipt for my payment?
Yes, both options are available with your registration. A link to your registration record will also be sent to the email you used to register for the conference.
