When Turnitin’s AI Writing Detection Tool launched in Spring 2023, staff from UC Berkeley’s Research, Teaching, and Learning (RTL) department recognized the need for careful exploration of the tool to understand instructor concerns around academic integrity, accuracy, equity, privacy, student access, and actionability. In collaboration with the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Center for Student Conduct, RTL invited instructors to participate in an opt-in pilot from Fall 2023 – Spring 2025.

This approach, rooted in understanding team needs and building trust, fosters organic adoption through incremental wins and demonstrable value.

Tired of the time-consuming process of crafting user stories? In this session, we'll explore how AI can revolutionize your user story development. We'll delve into real-world examples, like the "eFile Plus" project, where AI was successfully used to generate user stories, resulting in increased efficiency and improved project outcomes.

This presentation will detail the development and implementation of a new IT governance framework at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). The framework is designed to foster collaboration and transparency between IT and the broader campus community. Key components of the framework include: -Strategy Council: Providing strategic direction and oversight. -Advisory Boards: Facilitating communication and decision-making across functional areas. -Workgroups: Addressing specific issues and projects.

This session will go over the strengths/weaknesses of three popular form-building platforms: MachForm, Qualtrics, and DocuSign's Powerform. The session will explain and demonstrate the platforms, common use-case scenarios for each, and why some should be used over others (for inherent reasons, as well as user/security-requirement reasons).
